daughter is better than dead" says Top law officer.
As per Twisha’s father she called them at 9:41pm saying all is not well at in laws house. At 10:05 PM she spoke with her mother which was interrupted by some male voice. At 10:20 to 10:30 pm MIL informed that she is dead. The disaster happened in a span of just 15 minutes . She had tickets to come home in two days . But she was killed before she could.
Mother-in-law Giribala Singh is
former district judge and holds a degree in forensic science , her sister is
doctor and Twisha’s husband is a lawyer himself well sufficient to manage the
system and the crime scene. Giribala’s sister who is doctor is present at the
first post martem possibly manipulated the report to be written as
Suicide. It shows the sheer confidence
that they can get away with the crime managing the system. Supreme Court issued
a GAG order for girls' parents not to speak in news channels when media is the
last hope in high profile cases.
The greedy and harrasing party (in-laws and husband) commonly
1.Abuse the girl and her parents
2. Character assassination of girl
3.Blame girl's parents of interference (it is they who control
everything)
4. They get aggravated if girl
approaches the system.(police,court etc)
5.Prevent the girl from sharing
her whereabouts to parents
6.Spent little on wife's concerns.
Why is this greed for money to demand more and more from girl's parents and ultimately killing a person ???? This happens mostly in well
to do families!!!!!!!!!. Why should the boy and his parents demand more from
DIL's parents even after a decade of marriage? Arranged marriage happen knowing
eachothers's financial abilities and stature. If boy’s party is not satisfied
with the girl’s wealth/stature/education no point in going for an alliance.
Period. No one asked for their mercy to marry their daughter and later kill
her. Once marriage happens fulfilling the promises(dowry or other gifts) made ,
the demand made by boy and his parents even the next day of marriage is a crime.
Educated girl is also a problem for some mother-in-laws. MIL want an illiterate
, may be hard to find. So they transform educated girl into an illiterate.
Why more harassment/death cases from educated
backgrounds?? In Twisha’s case both
families with highly educated backgrounds with quite constrasting outlooks.
Major Harshit being in the army and his wife a doctor saw Twisha killed by her
in-laws and husband.If Giribala had a problem with Twisha’s modelling career
she should have bluntly said no to marriage. In Delhi a woman commando herself
became victim of dowry death. Recently a newly married bride from Odisha is
victim of dowry harassment, the boy demanding BULLET BIKE and other house hold
items. The list is endless. The timeline for dowry harassment is not limited to
initial years of marriage.. Social media comment section reveal numerous cases
of dowry harassment and domestic violence where girls came out after years of
marriage.
What is the support system for these woman(with her
children)? In a patriarchal system girls parents are expected to behave as
outsiders in her daughter life immediately after marriage and girl becomes part
of boys family. But it is these parents who extend support to separated woman
and her children when the boy and his parents are worried only about their
stature and their assets. This is because of their opinion that DIL can be
replaced(by deserting or killing) by another woman who brings more dowry!!!!!!!! If a abused woman is forced to move out of marriage without prior work experience how will she support herself and children? Woman empowerment is very crucial in this context.
Does the legal system (so called laws favouring woman) prevent crimes against woman in the families. Where is a woman safe ?NEITHER INSIDE THE FAMILY NOR OUTSIDE THE FAMILY . Amidst this chaos going on families, girls are becoming soft target in corporate sector for conversion, exploitation. #TCScorporatejihad.Giribala is arrested owing to pressure from media and other houses. Will the justice be delivered ? Will the culprits be punished. Or will fade out of news like many others?What is the girl is killed in cold blooded murder like in Mahesh Babu's movie Arjun?Are these incidents not responsible for marital paradox in the youth?
A girl's life is not worth the money they have they wanted to have.
